HomeProfessor Bill Pomroy

Professor Bill Pomroy

Bill Pomroy, is an author of 88 peer-reviewed scientific publications and in excess of 170 conference abstracts. The topics of these publications range across the spectrum of veterinary parasitology but with a particular focus on gastrointestinal nematodes of grazing ruminants. Recent interest has focused on the sustainable use of anthelmintics given the increasing incidence of anthelmintic resistance now recorded in New Zealand. In addition, he has an interest in the role of protozoa such as Neospora and Toxoplasma in reproductive failure in sheep, cattle and deer and an interest in the potential role of Fasciola hepatica for causing production losses in New Zealand.
